Seldom Records Returns
Seldom Records has been on a hiatus for the last 18 months since the release of OKJunior’s stellar EP “Logic & Reason”. We’ve been reasonably lazy to be fair but we’ve also had our website and image redesigned and been given a makeover. We’re very pleased with the result and hope you like it as well - drop us a line and let us know.
During our absence the loss of the physical format has continued unabated. It is all about the digital download (most likely in a free or cheap as chips price bracket) and then raking in the money from live gigs. Radiohead’s “In Rainbows” apparently kick-started this change - or downhill slope - depending on your viewpoint and widened the debate. Small independents like Stolen Wine have disappeared as have many physical distributors. The likes of Norman Records still proudly wave the independent and physical format.
So we return to a new era I suppose. That is fine with us - we will carry on releasing lovely gems of music. Ideally, we will keep it both physical and digital but we will see how we go. Already on our delightful new Audio page you can find streams and free digital downloads. And maybe some kind souls will feel inclined to buy the physical copy of these and future releases, where available (thank you to those who have done so!).
It is, as ever, “All About The Music”. We thank you for your continued support.
